| God, when He created us, did
not intend for us to be in the
situation we are in. He created
a perfect environment for us to
live with Him. Along with that
he gave us the FREE WILL to choose to side with him or
not.
The reason we are where we
are is because of sin, choosing
not to side with Him. You see,
God is perfectly holy and He
cannot have any thing to do
with sin; otherwise He won't
be perfectly holy. The Bible
says, " ... all
have sinned and fall short of
the glory of God." (Romans
3:23) Have you noticed it says "ALL"
not some? That means you and
I are sinners. God being
perfectly Holy, cannot have
a relationship with us since
we, human beings, are sinners.
Then you might say, "
I will do good and earn God's
favor." Good works
may include being a good religious
person, going to church, being
good to others, helping the
poor, not telling lies, belonging
to a religious denomination,
etc, etc ... some or even all
of these may be good in themselves
but they won't pay for the wrong
you have done. One of the previous
quotes sited earlier says, "...
fall short of the glory of God." It is saying, no matter how
much, good deeds we do to impress
God, we still come short of
His standard which is REAL
PERFECTION!
You might say, "This
sounds like a desperate situation
what can I do to make peace
with God? " That
is exactly what God wants from
you, recognize that you
are hopeless on your own.
But He did not leave us Hopeless
again He did provide a way out.
Just like in the beginning the
issue becomes choice, to go
the way He says or our ways
which put us in the predicament
we are in the first place.
God is also perfectly just
and is also love. Even though
He loves us He cannot wrong
doing, otherwise known as sin,
go unpunished. If He lets sin
go unpunished because of His
love towards us He won't be
perfectly just any more. But
because He is perfectly just
and His Great Love towards us
He provided a way that satisfies
both His justice and Hid Love,
His Son, Jesus Christ, to take
the penalty due us! The Bible
in the book of John says, "
God so loved the world, that
He gave his only son that who
so ever believes in Him should
not perish, but have eternal
life." Basically
it is saying God loved us so
much that He gave His only Son
so that who so ever believes
in Him is free from the penalty
due him as a result he will
live with God to eternity in
peace. Christ reconciles who
so ever believes in Him with
His Father.
"So how do I make
peace with God?" Because of what Christ has done
God's justice is satisfied.
Now the issue is for you to
accept God's way of making peace
with Him. If there was any other
way to reconcile us it would
have not been necessary for
Christ to come to this earth
and die. That is accepting the
fact that there is no way you
can be good enough to qualify
the perfection( sin-less-ness
)God's demands. You need to
accept what He has provided,
the sacrificial work of Jesus
Christ, on your behalf. If you
want to know how that is done?
It is amazing! God did not leave
us to guess work on that either..
He told us what we need to do. "... if you confess
with your mouth that Jesus is
Lord and believe in your heart
that God has raised him from
the dead, you shall be saved.
For with the heart man believes
unto righteousness; and with
the mouth confession is made
unto salvation. For whosoever
shall call upon the name of
the Lord shall be saved."
(Romans. 10:9-10, 13) This is what it is
saying, if you admit you are
a sinner and will accept His
provision for reconciliation,
Jesus Christ, as the one who
took your punishment, you will
be reconciled with God. God's
word says the moment you believe
you will have eternal life.
My friend I strongly suggest
you make this commitment to
accept his payment on your behalf
right now because you won't
be able to pay it on your own
by praying to Him.
If you made that decision
congratulations! You just became
a child of God and you have
peace with God. Please
let us know, for follow up.
We would be very delighted to
hear about it. If you cannot
get in touch with us make sure
you get hold of a church where
they teach the Bible. Remember,
when you believe you will have
an open line of communication
with God, you can talk to Him
about any and all issues of
life including for guidance
of this new life.
